Growth hormone releasing peptide-2 (GHRP-2) is closely related to GHRP-6 as it is a hexapeptide which is a pure growth hormone secretagogue. However, GHRP-2 is far superior because it is a synthetic agonist of ghrelin. In other words, GHRP-2 does not have side effects such as serious hunger. GHRP-2 increases insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) levels and is even more effective when combined with growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It is important to note that although GHRP-2 is preferable to GHRP-6, GHRP-2 is often used with a GHRH such as pegylated mechano growth factor (PEG-MGF).
GHRP-2 not only increases ghrelin release, but it also plays a significant role in increasing somatotrophs and correcting the production of low-level growth hormone. Simply put, this hexapeptide is perfectly designed to stimulate the release of human growth hormone (HGH) from the pituitary gland. GHRP-2 is considered by many as a true HGH secretagogue because it stimulates the body’s own secretion of HGH.
As GHRP-2 is a ghrelin agonist, it has many positive side effects. It promotes lean body mass, reduces adiposity (decreases body fat), improves sleeping patterns, increases cellular repair and improves bone density. GHRP-2 also increases endogenous growth hormone levels.
GHRP-2 is the perfect partner for athletes or bodybuilders looking for a mechanism that promotes lean body gains. However, as with other hormone releasing peptides, you might experience hunger as a side effect. It should be noted that GHRP-2 is among the mildest of GHRPs because it acts on different receptors. Therefore, with proper training and a balanced diet, users can safely achieve optimum results.
Storage: Lyophilised peptide must be stored at -20°C and peptide solution at 4°C. Before mixing, keep between -18 and -20°C. Use within 24 months.
Dosag & Frequency
Dosage: It is recommended that 100 – 300mg
Injected subcutaneously or into the muscle two to three times a daily, depending on the user’s preference.
GHRP-2 can be used continuously and indefinitely. It is imperative to note that dosages can vary dramatically. For instance, when combined with GHRH, as it usually is, a lower dosage is used. On the other hand, when GHRP-2 is used exclusively a higher dosage will be used. Two injections per day, administered on an empty stomach, will deliver optimal results.
As GHRP-2 is a mild GHRP many users do not experience side effects. However side effects are possible, especially with irresponsible use. Common side effects for regular users include an irritated injection site and swollen wrists or ankles. Upon first using GHRP-2 users may experience carpel tunnel syndrome-like symptoms and feelings of tiredness and lethargy. Numbness and water retention have also been noted. Lowering doses, adjusting diet and increasing doses slowly will usually remedy such side effects.
